Situated in the heart of Bathgate, West Lothian, the Reconnect Regal Theatre occupies an Art Deco-style venue originally built in 1938 and designed by architect Andrew David Haxton.
Now operated by the charity Reconnect Charity, the theatre offers a lively mix of live music, comedy, drama, children’s events and workshops, alongside community hire-spaces for rehearsals, classes and functions.
With a seated capacity of around 230 (and standing up to ~400), it remains a vibrant cultural hub that honours its heritage while serving broad community and touring audiences alike.
Located in Livingston, Scotland, Howden Park Centre is a modern, purpose-built arts venue centred around a 296–300-seat auditorium.
Since its major redevelopment and reopening in 2009, the building (designed by Nicoll Russell Studios) has been celebrated for its architecture – winning the “Building of the Year” accolade from the Edinburgh Architectural Association.
In addition to a thriving professional and community performance programme, the Centre features a gallery, art studio, pottery workshop and flexible event spaces, all fully accessible.
